View the list of EMS TEIs up for renewal in 2021, all of which will expire March 31 (list last updated Jan. 6, 2021).

If your EMS-TEI appears on the list above, please complete the 2021 EMS-TEI renewal process using the pre-inspection worksheet for your EMS-TEI classification to guide you through the process (E-45 for Level 1 thru 4 or E-46 for Continuing Education - CE only).

The mandatory equipment needed to operate an EMS-TEI (Level 1-4) can be found on the form E-12 (Level 1 TEI, Level 2 TEI, Level 3 TEI, and Level 4 TEI).

CE EMS-TEIs are not required to complete form E-12.

You will need to upload any new policies and new E-45 or E-46 worksheet and E-12 equipment list if applicable.

EMS-TEI directors will need to complete the 2021 EMS-TEI renewal process in KEMSIS including payment by March 31, 2021. The 2021 TEI renewal application is in the KEMSIS account for the TEI. EMS-TEIs that have not completed the renewal process by the March 31 deadline will expire on April 1, 2021.

During the renewal process all level 1-4 EMS-TEIs need to check their NREMT education program account for accuracy. All EMS-TEIs that offer initial certification courses (EMR, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic) must have an educational program account with NREMT.

  • If you need to set up or make changes to your NREMT education program account, contact Anne Weideman, stakeholder specialist, with NREMT at 614-888-4484 ext. 165.

A random audit of five percent (5%) of the renewing EMS-TEIs to verify compliance with 202 KAR 7:601. Training, education, and continuing education will be conducted beginning April 1, 2021.
