This position is responsible for ensuring that Ground and Air EMS Agencies in Kentucky meet minimum licensing and regulatory requirements, primarily through inspection of the agency, its facilities, and ambulances. The KBEMS Inspector/Liaison also serves as a resource to Kentucky EMS Agencies regarding statutory and regulatory matters. Also, serves as liaison between KBEMS leadership and local EMS agencies and EMS providers.

The open position is located in Lexington, Kentucky. However, this position covers Western Kentucky and the ideal candidate would reside in that part of the state.

• Conduct EMS Agency Inspections to ensure compliance of EMS Statutes and Regulations. Completes violation reports and follow up visits as necessary to ensure compliance This position requires travel to ensure customer service for the Customers of KBEMS.
• Serves as liaison between KBEMS board office, EMS directors and EMS responders in meeting minimum requirements with resources and mentorship.
• Completes violation reports and follow up visits as necessary to ensure compliance.
• Serves as subject matter expert in air and ground agency Kentucky Administrative Regulations.
• Represents KBEMS at conferences, symposiums, and other events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Associate degree or equivalent and five (5) years relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and eight (8) years relevant experience.
KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
