2017 Agency and Provider Renewal

The Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services is pleased to announce the availability of individual provider and ambulance service renewal applications for those expiring on December 31, 2017. As in previous years, applications are only accepted through the Kentucky EMS Information System (KEMSIS). A valid renewal application requires form completion in KEMSIS along with payment made online or mailed to our office. The renewal application period opens today, June 30, and runs through 11:59 PM on December 31. Any individual or service failing to meet the December 31 deadline must go through the reinstatement process. Detailed instructions for both renewal types are available below. Questions about the renewal process not explained on this page or within the instructional document should be submitted via the Support Portal.

The KBEMS office, along with other KCTCS entities, will be closed from December 16, 2017 through Jan. 2, 2018 for institutional closing. Applications submitted between December 16 and December 31 will be significantly delayed. Anything submitted after December 31, 2017 will not be processed.
