KRS 311A.055 governs the complaint process for individuals who feel they have been hurt or aggrieved at the hands of an entity or person regulated by the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services. To file a complaint, offended parties must use the Kentucky Board of EMS Complaint Form. The complaint form cannot be filed electronically because the statute requires the form to be subscribed and sworn to as well as notarized.
By law, KBEMS cannot accept anonymous complaints. Any complaint that is incomplete will not be assigned to the investigator nor will it be acted upon in any manner.
