Initial Certification is for someone that has never been certified.
Recertification is for current EMTs to renew their certification.
Reinstatement is for someone that has been previously certified and the Kentucky certification expired within a 5 year period and is not Nationally Registered.
Reciprocity is for Nationally Registered out of state EMT's wanting to become Kentucky Certified.
